  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Sy -- Works for more than just teachers... : I took a risk and purchased this book even though I am not a teacher. However, I am a nurse that is on the verge of burnout. Jacyln interweaves her own personal stories into the narrative of the book to introduce the theme of the new chapter in an entertaining way. Her tips of self-reflection and action are more universal than one would think. I believe anyone who is on the verge of a work burnout, but especially teachers as it is specifically written with you in mind!, should purchase and read this book. I recommend this book. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Blake Templeton -- Heartwarming and encouraging! : I enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. One, the personal stories shared by the author are heartfelt, moving, and (in a few cases) a little humorous! The practical advice shared is great for teachers, especially those who have been in the profession for a while. There are rules for every day life that anyone can benefit from. And I love how the reader is constantly reminded how important taking care of yourself is, because what you do will matter to others! ( Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Lisa Cook -- This non-teacher gives this book an A+ : Although I am not a teacher, Ms. Reuter exudes encouragement and passion in her debut book. Using a conversational tone and anecdotes from her teaching journey, the reader would have a hard time not feeling supported and inspired, no matter their profession. Five stars for this quick and inspirational read! ( Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2020 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from De Hufford -- Motivational! : I am not a teacher; at least not professionally. Being a mother, grandmother and now home schooler, what the author teaches will help me be better at what I do. Her chapters about goals and defining success really hit home! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Alyssa -- Good Resource : As a person with many teachers in my immediate and extended family, I thought this book did an excellent job of diving into the difficulties of being a teacher, both on the personal and professional level. The lay out of this book is excellent, and there is enough personal testimony shared by the author to keep the reader engaged and make the book more personal yet not be sappy. An excellent book for teachers in any stage of their career. ( Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2020 )
